JUNKTIQUE: A home design and fashion look that borrows heavily from the past, and portrays a shabby, vintage, often French feel. A.K.A.-unique use of junk.
These pictures (mostly taken by Karly) are from our recent trip to Temecula, where La Maison Rustique held it's monthly Barn Sale of all things junktique. Some items are old, some are new, all are junk. The ladies who were there selling their tattered elegance and fluffy finds were all too happy to ignore us, so Karly and I were all too happy to linger around, take it all in, and take photos.
We bought zero vintage, no shabby, and not a drop of chic or French. But we did stop at the Home Goods up there, and scored some NEWTIQUES! I like new stuff. Stuff you can easily return if you change your mind. Stuff that has not been used for mice nesting in someone's attic.
